About Event

The Automezzi Exotic Italian Car & Motorcycle Show celebrates its 30th year in 2020 as the largest gathering of all Italian exotics in Colorado, showcasing over 200 vehicles including a Supercar Showcase. The Automezzi is located at the Jeffco Fairgrounds Pavilion & Lawn, the perfect setting to highlight our Anniversario event that will also feature Italian food, Italian specialty beverages and cocktails, Sicilian cannolis, Gelato and more! Enjoy all things Italian while listening to live music and big band tunes from the Flatirons Jazz Orchestra. NEW IN 2020 is the Automezzi "VIP Food & Wine Experience" featuring Celebrity Chef Andy LoRusso who will entertain guests as he cooks and sings Italian in the VIP tent. Also featured in the VIP Experience is a wine tasting from Balistreri Vineyards. Whether a car enthusiast or just a lover of all things Italian, there's something for everyone at the Automezzi. Plan to spend the day with us to check out the numerous Exhibitors / Italian offerings and of course the stars of our show - the Italian cars, motorcycles, scooters and bicycles! Net proceeds from the Automezzi benefit Caruso Family Charities.

Caruso Family Charities Mission Statement

Caruso Family Charities is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to assisting families of a child, adolescent, or young adult who is being treated in Colorado for a life-threatening disease or life altering event. Through our Funding Families program, our mission is to relieve some financial pressures so the family may focus on caring for their sick child.

Caruso Family Charities (CFC) receives requests for families needing assistance from Doctors and Social workers at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Hospice Care of the Rockies/KidsCare of the Rockies, Centura Health, Brent’s Place, and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s to name a few. Jerry Caruso, Executive Director of Caruso Family Charities and his team, make a personal visit to each family after they have completed CFC’s required application. An assessment of each application is made to determine how much help is needed. This process is immediate, since in many cases, the family’s situation has become desperate. In keeping with a very accountable process, the bills to be paid are given to CFC, where the creditors are paid directly. Over the years, CFC has assisted families with such necessities as rent, groceries, phone and energy bills, car repairs, built wheelchair access ramps, widened doorways and much more. Caruso Family Charities also gives assistance to siblings who are in need of comfort and a sense of normalcy during the hardest of times for their family. CFC has provided funding for art lessons, dance lessons, Tae Kwando, and more. CFC also provides an annual college scholarship presented to a former patient or a sibling.  Learn more about Caruso Family Charities HERE

Director's Cup

2017 Ferrari La Ferrari Aperta – Darren Crystal
Director's Cup 2018 Winner Lou Ficco with Automezzi Show Director Gina Hallisey pass the Cup to 2019 Winner Darren Crystal.

Congrats to Lou Ficco and his 2003 Ferrari Enzo, winner of the 2018 Automezzi Director's Cup. Ferrari made only 400 of these fire-breathing 6L V12 dragons that can roar by you at some 217 MPH, making it one of the world's fastest cars. If looks could kill, this car would be a serial killer. It is the ultimate in coolness and refined macho power. If Steve McQueen were a car, he would be this one.

Italian Marques Showcased at the Automezzi

Over 200 vehicles on display - SPECIAL SHOWCASE OF ALFA ROMEO THIS YEAR ONLY!

For 30 years the Automezzi has been known as the largest gathering of exotic Italian cars and motorcycles (vintage to current) in the Rocky Mountain region. Past displays have included a rare vintage 1913 Fiat alongside the current year's top selling marques. Other "two wheeled" participants have included Italian scooters and Italian bicycles. The Automezzi showcase is typically over 150 Italian exotics from the marques shown plus a few special guests in the Etceterini class. This year, in partnership with the Alfa Romeo Club of the Rockies, we will feature a special showcase of Alfa Romeo vehicles from all over the country and even Canada so expect over 200 vehicles on the Automezzi lawn! Registrants from each marque can choose to be judged -OR- be display only. Marques will be judged on exterior, interior, and overall design/styling. The Automezzi has incorporated a new scoring technology into the show making the judging process very efficient for both judges and spectators. Awards will be given for 1st Place and Runner Up in each marque plus one Best of Show award and the coveted Director's Cup, which is a traveling award. Spectators can vote for unlimited favorites (because you will have LOTS of favorites!) but you can only cast one vote per vehicle in the People's Choice category. Please click on the marque if you wish to learn more or get local club info.

Our Esteemed Partners/Sponsors for this Event

A heartfelt "Thank You" goes out to the many partners and sponsors over the years whose continued support helps us in presenting the Automezzi. With their generous support we are able to produce the Automezzi, the largest Celebration of Italian Motoring in the Rocky Mountain Region. Sponsorship also allows us to support our benefactor Caruso Family Charities, in a more substantial way. The Automezzi community as a whole is a very generous group of car enthusiasts that are also supporting the event with each exhibitor booth sold, vehicle registration and individual donation given. We are very excited to be partnering with Caruso Family Charities in 2020 and welcome their families to our Automezzi family. We hope you will join us as a partner or sponsor to make our 30th Anniversary the most successful Automezzi yet! Mille grazie!

Most Asked Questions About the Automezzi Event

The Registration Package (all Italian vehicle types) includes 1 vehicle admitted to the field, 1 admission ticket for driver and 1 Guest, 1 Official Automezzi t-shirt and 1 goodie bag.
YES! You can register as many Italian vehicles as you would like.  If you purchased the Package for your first vehicle registration you can choose the Vehicle Only Registration to add more vehicles at the discounted price.  Additional vehicle only registrations allow 1 additional vehicle and driver onto the field but will NOT receive the Guest Ticket, T-shirt or Goodie Bag.  If you would like the “extras” for your additional registrations please register your additional vehicle/s at the package price as that is the best deal.  If you have special circumstances, contact us at to discuss additional discounts if you are bringing 3 or more vehicles!
The Automezzi is typically a “purist” show of all Italian marques but guest appearances from other exotics are always welcomed via an application process.  Prior to registering, we ask that Non-Italian vehicles contact us to make sure we have space in the Etceterini category for the vehicle to be showcased.  Inquiries can be sent to:
YES! If purchasing the Package you will get 1 Guest Ticket included but if you need more, simply purchase the extra guest tickets at the discounted $8 Spectator Fee. All the “Extras” are listed on the order form when you register so it’s easy to add in t-shirts, posters or tickets in advance and save!  Remember that the discounts are only if purchased in advance so be sure to purchase the extras in advance and save!
The VIP Food & Wine Experience is an Exclusive Special Event within the Automezzi Event and requires an additional ticket to enter the VIP tent.  If the VIP Experience Sponsorship is not sold by June 1st, a limited amount of tickets will open up to the public for the VIP Food & Wine Experience at the Automezzi.  Tickets will be sold on a first come basis.
Show vehicles should arrive between the hours of 7am-8:30am to allow enough time to check in and get parked in your section on the field.  Enter from the main entrance to Jeffco Fairgrounds off the 6th Avenue Frontage Road.  Look for signage. Cars arriving after the show has opened may not get to park on the lawn or be judged.
The criteria for the 1st Place and Runner Up judged awards in each marque category will be scored on a scale of 1-10 points based on exterior, interior and overall design/styling.  The average of all judges will be calculated to determine the winners. The Best in Show winner will be the vehicle that places the highest of all judges scores.  The Director’s Cup is chosen by the Director or person/s assigned by the Director to select the new winner of the traveling Director’s Cup.  The Director’s Cup winner will be featured on the Automezzi website in the Director’s Cup Gallery.  All vehicles on the field are eligible to win the coveted Director’s Cup even if signed up as Display Only.  The People’s Choice criteria is based on the number of votes you receive.  The new judging technology we have implemented allows spectators to vote for as many of their favorites as they want but only once for each vehicle.  If you don’t want to be judged, simply choose display only on your registration.
For safety reasons, we ask all vehicles to stay until the close of the event at 1pm (just after the awards ceremony). Part of the closing ceremony is for all vehicles to “Start their Engines” for one final Automezzi Roar before vehicles exit.  We would like all to stay for that final farewell and allow staff time to clear spectators from the exit path at the end.  If inclement weather becomes eminent, we will allow vehicles to leave prior, but only with an escort if the field is packed with spectators.  Ask Automezzi staff for assistance if you need to leave early.

Gate opens at 9am and we close the event at 1pm with the final Automezzi Roar when all start their engines.  Spectators are not allowed into the event or onto the field at any time during the show load in.  The show will officially open with the National Anthem and Presentation of Colors by the Foothills Young Marines at 9:15am.
The gate admission fee is $10 on site or $8 if purchased in advance.  Please bring your EzRegister ticket with QR code via phone or printed ticket to be scanned at the entrance on event day.  100% of the gate proceeds go to Caruso Family Charities.
Other activities include a Vendor Village for car enthusiasts, Artisan Fair with unique shopping, Cultural partners sharing info on the Italian lifestyle, playground and fun activities for kids, Bocce’ lawn games, live music from the Flatirons Jazz Orchestra, Italian food, Italian sweet treats and specialty Italian beverages plus more!
Exhibitors include businesses who offer products and services for car enthusiasts as well as artisans who sell handmade or unique products and cultural partners sharing information about the Italian lifestyle.

Photographing the vehicles is allowed but we ask that you avoid photographing the license plates as a courtesy to the owners.  If you want to submit your photograph to the Automezzi Gallery, please do!  Our top 16 photos from the event are posted to the website each year.  If your photo is chosen you will win an Automezzi t-shirt!  Submit photographs to:
