The Automezzi celebrates it 30th Anniversary in 2020 as the largest showcase of Italian exotics in the Rocky Mountain region, however; this year has its challenges with the state restrictions around large gatherings. In order to celebrate our 30-year anniversary, continue raising funds for a local non-profit and now comply with Covid-19 guidelines, we have reformatted the Automezzi (for this year only) in the spirit of a long standing cultural tradition in Italy called la Passeggiata. La Passeggiata typically happens at the end of the day in Italy and lasts several hours. The Automezzi Passeggiata Live Broadcast Event will begin at the same time here in Colorado as la Passeggiata is taking place in Rome, Italy; which is 10am MST. La Passeggiata (known as the walk, stroll, promenade) is often the main social event of the day in Italy where the most important thing is simply seeing and being seen (vedere e farsi vedere). La Passeggiata will reinforce a sense of belonging, the greeting of friends and acquaintances, sharing of the latest news, products and services and most importantly showcasing those shining Italian exotics. It’s our way of connecting everyone in the Italian Car & Motorcycle community, for this moment in time, in a virtual rally showcase (designed within social distancing guidelines) that will be broadcast live to our virtual spectators who can watch the event for FREE! The Automezzi virtual spectator can help pick the "People's Choice" winners by tagging a favorite vehicle every time they donate to Caruso Family Charities leading up to or during the live broadcast (vote for all your favorites so they have a chance of winning). For every dollar donated, that vehicle will recieve one point. The top 3 vehicles with the most points, who raise the most funds for CFC; will be awarded the People's Choice medals of honor so vote often and DONATE BIG to help both your favorite vehicles and Caruso Family Charities win! The first 100 donors over $75 (with or without tagging a vehicle) will receive a commemorative Automezzi XXX bandana as a thank you gift.
Caruso Family Charities is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to assisting families of a child, adolescent, or young adult who is being treated in Colorado for a life-threatening disease or life altering event. Through our Funding Families program, our mission is to relieve some financial pressures so the family may focus on caring for their sick child.
Caruso Family Charities (CFC) receives requests for families needing assistance from Doctors and Social workers at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Hospice Care of the Rockies/KidsCare of the Rockies, Centura Health, Brent’s Place, and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s to name a few. Jerry Caruso, Executive Director of Caruso Family Charities and his team, make a personal visit to each family after they have completed CFC’s required application. An assessment of each application is made to determine how much help is needed. This process is immediate, since in many cases, the family’s situation has become desperate. In keeping with a very accountable process, the bills to be paid are given to CFC, where the creditors are paid directly. Over the years, CFC has assisted families with such necessities as rent, groceries, phone and energy bills, car repairs, built wheelchair access ramps, widened doorways and much more. Caruso Family Charities also gives assistance to siblings who are in need of comfort and a sense of normalcy during the hardest of times for their family. CFC has provided funding for art lessons, dance lessons, Tae Kwando, and more. CFC also provides an annual college scholarship presented to a former patient or a sibling. Online registration (for Italian marques only) is open and only advanced registrants will be accepted. DUE TO THE FORMAT THIS YEAR THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION FOR VEHICLES ON SITE ON THE EVENT DAY.
There will be plenty to see at the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Automezzi via a special live broadcast event of the 2020 showcase. Car and motorcycle enthusiasts can enjoy all the beauty of nearly 100 Italian marques in a specially curated, live broadcast production of la Passeggiata. The "parade" theme for this year's virtual showcase will capture every vehicle registrant along the course so even though we cannot gather in person, you will have a front row seat to la Passeggiata.
Please support the Automezzi by watching the live broadcast event and donating to Caruso Family Charities.
Sponsor, broadcast production and course set up - NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
Registered vehicles will NOT all arrive at once. Once registered, you will be notified of your marques designated time to pass through la Passeggiata course. We ask that you arrive no earlier than 30 minutes prior to your la Passeggiata time slot, just enough time to allow for the live broadcast staging. Your rally to the event is on your own or may also be coordinated by your club. Vehicles will not be parked on the lawn as in the past. This year's event is a "parade" through la Passeggiata course (finish line) which is the culmination of your rally. NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - spectators will watch virtually.
La Passeggiata is NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Spectators can view the entire broadcast virtually on the Automezzi Facebook Page or YouTube Channel for FREE! Broadcast highlights include all vehicles announced as they pass through la Passeggiata, live interviews with sponsor guests, sponsored club spots on several marques plus special up close and personal features of the Automezzi Supercars. Please donate to Caruso Family Charities to show your support and tag your favorite vehicles so they can earn points towards the People's Choice Awards.
Due to the virtual event, we will allow People's Choice voting (via your donation to Caruso Family Charities) to continue for 3 days after the event so you can watch the whole show again and pick your favorites to tag with your donation!
The People's Choice and Director's Cup winners will be announced the week after the show on the Automezzi blog and social media platforms once the People's Choice voting closes and points/donation totals for each vehicle have been tallied.
Due to the format this year, food and beverage concessions will not be available for the vehicle registrants on site. Please plan accordingly. For those who will experience the Automezzi virtually from home you can order a Special VIP Experience Box delivered right to your door prior to the show for a "Taste of Automezzi" including all the commemorative items also! Only available in advance, limited quantities.
2019 AUTOMEZZI DIRECTOR’S CUP
2018 AUTOMEZZI DIRECTOR’S CUP
Congrats to Lou Ficco and his 2003 Ferrari Enzo, winner of the 2018 Automezzi Director's Cup. Ferrari made only 400 of these fire-breathing 6L V12 dragons that can roar by you at some 217 MPH, making it one of the world's fastest cars. If looks could kill, this car would be a serial killer. It is the ultimate in coolness and refined macho power. If Steve McQueen were a car, he would be this one.
We are thrilled to announce Jeremy Hubbard as our Celebrity Emcee for Automezzi XXX.
Jeremy Hubbard co-anchors FOX31 News at 5 pm, 9 pm and 10 pm.
For 30 years the Automezzi has been known as the largest gathering of exotic Italian cars and motorcycles (vintage to current) in the Rocky Mountain region. Past displays have included a rare, vintage 1913 Fiat, a 1939 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Berlinetta Touring said to once be owned by Mussolini; alongside the current year's top selling marques. Other "two wheeled" participants have included Italian scooters and Italian bicycles alongside rare and vintage motorcycles. The Automezzi showcase is typically 100-150 Italian exotics from the marques shown plus a few surprise guest exotics. For the 2020 event, the marques will be judged by People's Choice from the online virtual spectators. For every dollar donated to Caruso Family Charities, the vehicle tagged with the donation will receive one point. Awards will be presented to the Top 3 vehicles who raise the most money for the charity. The coveted Director's Cup, which is a traveling award, will be selected by the previous year's recipient and the Show Director and awarded after the event to the winner. All winners will be announced after the event with the donation totals. Due to the la Passeggiata format in 2020, spectators can vote for unlimited favorites (because you will have LOTS of favorites!) in the People's Choice category by donating often or donating big and tagging your favorites. Please click on the marque if you wish to learn more or get local club info.

A heartfelt "Thank You" goes out to the many partners and sponsors over the years whose continued support helps us in presenting the Automezzi. With their generous support we are able to produce the Automezzi, the largest Celebration of Italian Motoring in the Rocky Mountain Region. Sponsorship also allows us to support our benefactor Caruso Family Charities, in a more substantial way. The Automezzi community as a whole is a very generous group of car enthusiasts that are also supporting the event with each exhibitor booth sold, vehicle registration and individual donation given. We are very excited to be partnering with Caruso Family Charities in 2020 and welcome their families to our Automezzi family. We hope you will join us as a partner or sponsor to make our 30th Anniversary the most successful Automezzi yet! Mille grazie!
